Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with the implementation of a new ERP system (P21), set to go live by the end of October. This role focuses on managing employee expenses, credit card payments, and general telecom and utilities expenses. The successful candidate will be adept at handling high volumes of invoices and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable department.
ResponsibilitiesSpecialize in managing employee expenses, credit card payments, and general telecom and utilities expenses.Create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel at a basic level.Utilize electronic scanning and file storage systems.Process approximately 2,500 invoices per week.Adapt to other duties as needed within the department.Navigate the corporate structure and collaborate with regional managers to approve expenses.Essential SkillsStrong knowledge of accounts payable processes.Proficiency in Excel for spreadsheet creation and maintenance.Experience with electronic scanning and file storage.Ability to manage high volumes of invoices efficiently.Familiarity with general accounting principles (debit/credit).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with statement reconciliation and vendor communication.Proficiency in managing purchase orders (POs).Epicor experience preferred (Epicor P21).Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within a large organization.Associate degree preferred but not required.Work Environment
This position offers a flexible work environment with the option to work hybrid after four months. The initial hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The team currently operates from LaVista until mid-July, after which they will return to their main office. The role is initially a 6-8 month contract with the potential for conversion based on performance. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
