Accounts Payable Specialist (Onsite)
Location: Watervliet, NY
Pay: $24/hr. – $30/hr.
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their close-knit accounting team. This is a full-cycle AP role supporting all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and billing. While construction industry experience and familiarity with AIA billing are preferred, they are not required.
This is a fully onsite position, offering the opportunity to work directly with the Controller and Owner in a collaborative two-person accounting team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to a growing company undergoing a system implementation.
Responsibilities Include:Full-cycle accounts payable processingPosting invoices and creating vendor paymentsMonthly statement reconciliationsPreparation of monthly aging reports for managementTime and material billingsAIA payment applications (preferred)Maintain accurate billing records and assist with certificates of insuranceReconciliation of subcontracts and purchase ordersSupport system implementation and process improvementsPreferred Skills & Experience:2+ years of full-cycle AP experienceConstruction industry experience (preferred)Familiarity with AIA billing (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)Experience with SAGE Timberline or SAGE Intacct (preferred)Strong reconciliation and organizational skillsAssociate’s Degree or higher in Accounting or related fieldBenefits:Opportunity to work closely with leadership and gain exposure to all accounting functionsBe part of a system implementation and process improvement initiativeInternal growth potentialComprehensive benefits available (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Disability, and more)Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
