Accounts Payable Specialist (Onsite) Location: Watervliet, NY Pay: $24/hr. – $30/hr. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their close-knit accounting team. This is a full-cycle AP role supporting all aspects of accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and billing. While construction industry experience and familiarity with AIA billing are preferred, they are not required. This is a fully onsite position, offering the opportunity to work directly with the Controller and Owner in a collaborative two-person accounting team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to a growing company undergoing a system implementation. Responsibilities Include: + Full-cycle accounts payable processing + Posting invoices and creating vendor payments + Monthly statement reconciliations + Preparation of monthly aging reports for management + Time and material billings + AIA payment applications (preferred) + Maintain accurate billing records and assist with certificates of insurance + Reconciliation of subcontracts and purchase orders + Support system implementation and process improvements Preferred Skills & Experience: + 2+ years of full-cycle AP experience + Construction industry experience (preferred) + Familiarity with AIA billing (preferred) + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) + Experience with SAGE Timberline or SAGE Intacct (preferred) + Strong reconciliation and organizational skills + Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting or related field Benefits: + Opportunity to work closely with leadership and gain exposure to all accounting functions + Be part of a system implementation and process improvement initiative + Internal growth potential + Comprehensive benefits available (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Disability, and more) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
