Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in Newport, Rhode Island. In this role, you will be expected to manage and organize financial records and coordinate with vendors and internal team members as needed. You will also be tasked with ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their financial systems and procedures. Monitors expense invoices passing through the workflow approval process • Reviews and reconciles errors on invoices not able to be scanned into a workflow • Posts invoices into workflows as needed • Performs the functions to set up new vendors • Communicates with and educates vendors on Accounts Payable related matters • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files • Assists AP Manager as necessary • Assembles and processes overnight shipments • Assists in monthly closings • Prepares analysis of accounts as required • Performs filing and coping • Evaluates proper coding of invoices to general ledger expense accounts and updates to inventory records Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • Minimum 1-2 years of experience • Advanced Excel skills and strong familiarity with database management • Attention to detail when preparing and reviewing files • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
