Job Summary:
Supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable department. Reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed. Records and processes payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies and oversees payment schedules. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Responds to vendor inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments.
Essential Functions:
Collect, code and compile data to prepare accounts payable invoices and debit memos for payment to suppliers which may involve interpretation and analysisUpdate new and existing vendor records and banking detailsInitiate contact or respond to inquiries as assignedPerform various posting, coding, balancing and reconciling of records and accountsPrepare Month End AP accrualsPrepare and monitors the AP aging with timely follow-upSupport CBS efforts within the departmentUse strong communications skills, both oral and written to internal and external customersAny other task assigned by supervisor or managementMinimum Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3 years in accounting or equivalentKnowledge of accounting processes/procedures and Microsoft OfficeSkills/Abilities: Ability to work in an independent and team setting with both internal and external suppliers and customers. Strong communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask.Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:

Salary range: $26.01 - $31.91 Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
