Accounts Payable Coordinator
**Accounts Payable Specialist** **$27-$28 per hour** **Troy Michigan** **Hybrid work schedule – 2 days in office** **Temporary – possible to hire** Awesome opportunity for a **detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist** to join this finance team. This role will focus on supporting **accounts payable activities** , ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and resolving outstanding vendor issues. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a customer service mindset, and a drive for process improvement. **Responsibilities:** + Work closely with **vendors, Purchasing, and Receiving teams** to resolve outstanding accounts payable issues. + Process invoices in **Oracle** to ensure timely and accurate payment. + Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes. + Identify and implement **process improvement opportunities** within accounts payable. + Monitor, track, and report on accounts payable issues, providing status updates as needed. + Assist with **payment processing, reconciliations, SOX testing, reporting, and vendor maintenance** as required. + Document and refine **accounts payable processes** to improve efficiency and compliance with SOX requirements. + Support **ad hoc reporting** and special projects for senior management. **Qualifications:** + **1-3 years of experience** in accounts payable or a related field. + Proficiency in **Microsoft Office, particularly Excel** . + Strong organizational and follow-up skills. + Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization. + Analytical skills to **identify issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions** . **Preferred/a plus not a must:** + Experience working with **ERP systems, especially Oracle** . + Background in a **Shared Service Environment** is a plus. + Knowledge of **accounting principles** and best practices in accounts payable. + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field a plus.
