Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to oversee invoice processing, vendor relationships, and purchasing support in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will thrive in a task-driven environment and contribute to inventory coordination alongside the warehouse team.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage the complete accounts payable cycle, ensuring accuracy in invoice coding, entry, and payment processing.
• Handle approximately 20 invoices weekly with meticulous attention to detail.
• Order products from vendors, maintaining effective communication and positive relationships.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to support inventory tracking, receiving, and reconciliation processes.
• Match and document invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure proper records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain organized accounts payable files, reports, and payment documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, particularly those related to accounts payable.
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports, maintain documentation, and communicate effectively. Requirements • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Desktop and hands-on involvement in accounts payable processes.
• Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle accounts payable tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to task management.
• Experience working with vendors and supporting purchasing activities.
• Familiarity with inventory coordination or collaboration with warehouse teams is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
• High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
• At least three years of relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
