Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Saginaw, Michigan. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong background in accounts payable and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and necessary approvals are in place. • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices with accuracy to maintain financial consistency. • Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies identified. • Prepare and execute electronic transfers and payments in a timely manner. • Maintain detailed and accurate records to support audit requirements. • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to provide updates on payment status and resolve inquiries. • Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports and assisting with reconciliations. • Utilize the Plex Manufacturing ERP system for invoice processing and other related tasks. Requirements • Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role. • Proficiency with the Plex Manufacturing ERP system is highly preferred. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities. • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to handle vendor and internal inquiries. • Capability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other common office software. • Familiarity with invoice processing, coding, and check runs. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy under pressure.
