Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor management, and compliance with financial policies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our accounting operations. Responsibilities: • Review, code, and input invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. • Verify invoice details against purchase orders to ensure compliance with company standards. • Coordinate with department heads and budget holders to secure timely approval of invoices. • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including wire transfers. • Send payment confirmation notifications to internal stakeholders. • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding payments from both internal and external parties. • Maintain updated vendor records, including tax forms and payment terms. • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies that arise. • Assist with month-end closing tasks, ensuring all expenses are properly recorded. • Support audit preparations by organizing and providing necessary documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage Intacct. • Strong understanding of invoice processing and payment workflows. • Ability to manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies effectively. • Familiarity with tax-related tasks such as W-9s and 1099 preparation. • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills for handling inquiries and coordinating approvals. • Knowledge of compliance standards and internal controls.
