Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist This role is ON-SITE in San Antonio. Applicants must be able to travel to the on-site location, daily. Job Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing the financial obligations of our organization and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, capture and respond to customer feedback, and resolve any issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Responsibilities + Verify General Ledger (GL) account entries. + Match invoices with Purchase Orders (PO) to ensure accuracy. + Post vouchers to the Accounts Payable system. + Determine payments based on terms and available discounts. + Utilize all available discounts. + Process checks on a weekly basis. + Prepare monthly accruals for the Staff Accountant. + Resolve invoice payment inquiries professionally and expediently. + Maintain and organize Accounts Payable vendor files. + Assist in preparing annual 1099s and Form 1096. + Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding balances. + Support Financial Services clerical and administrative staff as needed. + Collaborate with Corporate Materials and Services on discrepancies. + Review 100 email invoices daily, determine PO requirements, and coordinate with internal stakeholders. + Engage in data entry and communication with logistics and supply chain teams. + Handle high-volume tasks efficiently, including processing 20-100 emails and creating 10-50 POs daily. + Perform various additional tasks as required by daily emails. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in high-volume Accounts Payable and Invoicing. + Proficiency in processing Purchase Orders (POs) and handling 100+ invoices. + Strong computer skills, including the ability to toggle between applications. + Expertise in Microsoft Excel. + Keen attention to detail. + Experience with Netsuite, with a transition to CorePay anticipated. + Strong coordination skills in Accounts Payable. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with NetSuite is preferred but not required as it is being phased out. + Ability to adapt to new systems and processes. Work Environment This is an in-office role operating from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, within a corporate office environment featuring cubicles. The team works onsite, fostering a comfortable and collaborative atmosphere. The position offers potential for growth into a full-time role, contingent upon performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
