Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Hauppauge, New York. The ideal candidate will handle various financial tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities: • Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring they are aligned with company policies. • Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. • Manage and execute check runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors. • Enter and verify data into the accounting system with a focus on precision. • Handle freight bills and related documentation as part of the accounts payable process. • Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve discrepancies or payment issues. • Maintain organized records of all vendor transactions and payment activities. • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in accounts payable processes. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in processing invoices and data entry tasks. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic functions and formulas. • Familiarity with handling freight bills and related documentation. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Solid organizational and time-management skills. • Effective communication skills for resolving vendor inquiries and discrepancies.
