Accounts Payable Associate
Job Title: Accounts Payable AssociateJob Description As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting employees with invoice processing and training coworkers on these processes. You will maintain the Ariba Issues Tracker, lead weekly meetings, and manage the designated mailbox. Your responsibilities will include resolving invoice issues, assisting with vendor integrations, and ensuring accuracy in invoice audits and reviews. Responsibilities + Assist employees with questions about processing invoices. + Train employees and coworkers on processing invoices. + Maintain the Ariba Issues Tracker and lead weekly meetings. + Manage the designated mailbox. + Resolve issues with invoices stuck in reconciling status. + Assist with integrations with vendors. + Reassign invoices that need to be processed. + Assist with testing updates. + Audit and review all invoices for accuracy before payment release. + Meet month-end and year-end deadlines. + Perform additional duties as needed by management. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Accounts Payable, invoicing, and Ariba. + Experience in vendor management. + Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams). + Ability to follow Accounts Payable procedures and SOX controls. + Detail-oriented skills for data research and analysis. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Organizational skills and ability to multitask. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. + 3-5 years of related work experience. + Strong computer skills. + Patience when training or working with coworkers. + Ability to adapt to changes determined by upper management. + Capability to work overtime during month/year-end periods. + Teamwork, direction-following, and prioritization skills. + Ability to maintain high quality of work with little direct supervision. Work Environment The position is located in an office downtown with a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to work in the office from Monday to Wednesday and remotely from Thursday to Friday. The work environment supports a collaborative atmosphere with opportunities to engage with various business systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
