Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Associate to manage and oversee a variety of financial transactions and processes. This role involves handling invoice processing, vendor account maintenance, payroll processing, accounts receivable, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to recommend workflow improvements.
ResponsibilitiesManage Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, vendor account maintenance, expense report review, payment preparation, invoice research, and timely responses to payment-related inquiries.Oversee Payroll processing activities, ensuring maintenance of payroll records, compliance with regulations and company policies, and timely responses to internal customer inquiries.Handle Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice preparation, payment application, payment verification, record-keeping, and account maintenance.Prepare schedules to support grants, programs, and donor-related activities.Assist with fixed asset inventory and record-keeping.Analyze workflow processes and recommend improvements.Perform account maintenance, prepare accounting schedules, reconciliations, and record entries.Prepare documentation and reports for Executive Management, Department Heads, and the Board of Directors.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsStrong experience in BS Reconciliation and understanding of Journal Entry preparation.Experience with cash/bank deposits and cash reporting.3+ years of corporate accounting experience.Understanding of Accrued Expenses, Reconciliations, Journal entries, and month-end processes.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.2-4 years of accounting experience, including transactions, reconciliations, and variance reports.Knowledge of commercial accounting systems, including Abila MIP and SAGE Intacct.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel.Experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred experience in Healthcare or Nonprofit sectors.Payroll experience is preferred.Grants experience is preferred.Work Environment
This position operates within a hybrid work environment, requiring two days on-site each week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
