Job Title: Accounts Payable Analyst
Job Description
The AP Analyst supports a Finance SaaS ERP implementation by leading data conversion, cleansing, and transformation activities across key finance functions. This role collaborates closely with Data Management and Finance teams to map, transform, and validate financial data, ensuring adherence to GAAP principles and regulatory requirements. The analyst uses advanced Excel, SQL, and other data manipulation tools to reconcile legacy system data with a new ERP, support testing activities, and document processes in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Data Management team to understand data mapping, conversion strategies, and business rules specific to Finance, and execute data transformation scripts using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL, and Python while ensuring adherence to GAAP principles.Utilize advanced Excel skills to create detailed reconciliations and perform validations between legacy system data and the new ERP for mock data conversions and cutover activities.Cleanse, standardize, and validate financial data to ensure quality, consistency, and integrity, maintaining compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.Identify and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies by investigating root causes and working with stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions.Translate business requirements into actionable data-related tasks and solutions that support Finance reporting and operational needs.Communicate technical data concepts, findings, and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including Finance and project stakeholders.Support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities related to data migration and transformations, including preparing test data, executing test scenarios, and documenting results.Document data transformation, mapping, and conversion processes and procedures to ensure repeatability, transparency, and knowledge transfer.Assist in data cleansing activities by designing and implementing efficient methods to streamline and improve data quality efforts.Work independently to manage multiple data-related priorities and tasks within project timelines in a consulting environment.Essential Skills
Strong experience with Finance SaaS ERP implementation, particularly in data conversion, cleansing, and transformation processes.In-depth understanding of Finance areas including General Ledger and Accounts Payable.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience in data mapping, data analysis, data transformation, or data quality activities.Foundational understanding of Finance functions and reporting.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced skills in formulas, functions, and macros.Experience with data manipulation tools such as Excel, Access, SQL, and Python.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a project-based setting.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Finance SaaS ERP systems, including participation in implementation or rollout projects.Experience supporting UAT testing and system implementation activities.Workday experience is a plus.Premier and PeopleSoft data extraction experience is a plus.Experience with purchase order and ERP systems in a finance context.Exposure to data analysis and reporting for Finance functions.Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with on-site collaboration as needed to support a major ERP implementation. The position is structured as a consulting engagement of approximately six months, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role based on performance and business needs. You will work closely with Finance, Data Management, and implementation teams, using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL, Python, and ERP platforms in a professional, project-focused setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
