We are seeking a diligent Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices in our ERP system, ensuring the validity and approval of all vendor payments. This role is essential for providing support in invoice processing and statement reconciliations across various teams.
Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices in the ERP system and ensure all vendor payments are valid and approved.Obtain management approval for all invoices processed without purchase orders.Reconcile small vendor statements as needed.Provide the General Ledger team with AP Accruals on a monthly basis.Address outstanding 'Uncashed' checks.Process and select payments to vendors up to the allotted $10,000.Identify, research, and resolve issues impacting the accounts payable statements.Contact vendors as needed to resolve issues and respond to inquiries.Update vendor payment information in the ERP system.Assist with accounts payable preparations and the audit process.Maintain proper documentation of monthly data and analysis.Assist in special projects and process improvements.Contribute to improving process workflows and maintaining system administration.Assist the Lead AP Analyst and the AP department in various projects as needed.Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounts payable, invoice processing, and reconciliation.Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, and Word.General Ledger experience, particularly with Sage.Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a corporate accounting organization.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.Experience operating in a multi-state or complex matrix business environment.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in PC/Microsoft applications.Strong leadership skills and the ability to act as a change agent.Excellent strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.Work Environment
The position requires working on-site Monday through Friday, with business casual attire. The work hours fall within a 7:30 am to 5 pm window. Training will involve on-the-job shadowing of the SAGE system. There is potential to move to a hybrid work model if the position is made permanent or extended.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.03 - $25.96/hr.
