Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in accounts payable processes. You will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with company standards and supporting efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper coding before entering them into the system. • Reconcile accounts to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. • Manage and execute regular check runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors. • Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments. • Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes. • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve payment issues. • Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks to manage financial data. • Generate reports on accounts payable activities to support financial decision-making. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations in all payable activities. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role. • Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Ability to perform accurate account reconciliation and resolve discrepancies. • Familiarity with invoice processing and coding procedures. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
