**Temp Accounting Clerk:**
We need an accounting temp to cover a maternity leave. The position that needs coverage includes general accounting tasks but in unique areas. We essentially need someone with a strong accounting background who can pick up the specifics quickly. They may also be pulled in a few areas to help while we get a staff accountant in place. Below are some of the job duties and details.
Assignment length-ASAP to mid October/Nov
Pay rate-$30-34/hr
Schedule-Flexible but typical 8-5ish
Hybrid work model-2 days in office and 3 days at home
Duties:
_Credit Back Program_
Manages all financial aspects of the handler credit back program:
+ Reviews credit back claims to determine handler eligibility for reimbursement of qualified advertising and marketing expenses in adherence with the credit back program rules.
+ Enters claims to credit back database with initial approval or denial.
+ Communicates to handlers as required.
+ Ensures adherence to all credit back related deadlines.
+ Provides information to external auditor regarding credit back program.
+ Provides administrative support for the Global Marketing department in processing credit back claims and calculating reimbursements as outlined in the Federal Marketing Order.
_Unified Export Strategy Program_
+ Evaluates expenditures to determine UES reimbursement eligibility following ABC and USDA guidelines.
+ Reviews, submits and tracks invoices submitted for UES grant.
+ Prepares and posts accounts receivable entries based on grant reimbursement submissions.
+ Records submitted grant claims in the accounts receivable sub-ledger and reconcile on a monthly basis.
+ Maintains the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards “SEFA” for monthly reconciliation and review by auditors.
+ Assists with online submission of the annual UES application to include the preparation of the hard copy UES binders.
_Accounts Receivable_
+ Updates and maintains account receivable spreadsheets and electronic databases.
+ Supports assessment activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation, mailing and entry.
+ Ensures payment compliance as outlined in the Federal Marketing Order.
+ Maintains electronic handler files according to compliance regulations.
+ Posts payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions.
+ Maintains high level of confidentiality with regards to all handler issues.
_Other Accounting_
+ Provides documentation and assistance to the internal and external auditors as requested.
+ Prepares accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs.
+ Maintains and reconciles petty cash account.
+ Performs General Ledger reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
+ Follows ABC’s established internal control policy.
+ Assists with department backup functions as needed; duties to include backup for incoming main phone line, credit card A/R, incoming invoice distribution, and mail room support.
+ Assists Manager and/or Director, Finance and Administration with day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations with various tasks as required.
Skill in:
+ Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
+ Operating standard office equipment including computer, copy machine and fax machine.
+ Preparing and maintaining a variety of detailed records.
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail.
+ Exceptional accuracy.
+ Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
+ Using initiative and judgment, within established guidelines, to determine appropriate confidentiality of materials and information
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Good at working independently, thinking critically and offering ideas to improve organization’s processes.

**Pay Details:** $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
