The*Accounting Technician*performs accounting responsibilities for all Programs and subprograms within MCE. Accuracy and timeliness of both revenue and payments to vendors are imperative to the continued economic viability and therefore the continuance of the Division and programs. In coordination with other MCE accounting and administration staff, the MCE Accounting Technician helps to coordinate the daily activities of the accounting office. This position trains, supervises, and evaluates the inmate accounting clerks in the MCE accounting office. /The hourly rate of this position will increase by $1.00 per hour or 2.5%, whichever is greater, effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026, in accordance with HB13.
