May research, investigate, and/or resolve any accounting or budget issues. Provides information and assistance to internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned such as Travel expense reports, switchboard and loading dock coverage. This position works to promote the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties. Essential Functions (include, but are not limited to): · Balances and reconciles accounting records, statements, journals, ledgers or reports · Collects fees or revenues, disburses payments and posts to appropriate accounts · Compiles and maintains records and files · May analyze financial reports to assess compliance Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Accounting Technician Trainee (FIT019) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience in supporting management. Work Conditions & Physical Demands: General office environment.
