Accounting & Tax Specialist (Greece)

Purpose of the Role:

 

Perform accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant tax regulations, fiscal rules, laws, and reporting requirements.

 

What you will do:

 

Understanding of processes in the company and how they are recorded through SAP and reflected in financial statements of adidas Hellas. Prepare financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flows, debtor and credit lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings. Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Posting complex business transactions per Group and local statutory requirements. As part of Accounting and Tax team, contribute to compliance of tax requirements (myDATA), local statutory and group accounting policies Support in drafting of all the tax statements and their submission in due time to the competent bodies in accordance with the legal provisions. Support local tax reporting to the authorities. Support Fin. Manager with tax and statutory audit, Revenue audit and internal audit. Monitor accounting and tax operations & report on irregularities to Fin. Manager.  Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities. Responsible for maintaining and archiving all needed accounting documents.

 

 

 

Skills you will need:

Local GAAP and tax legislation – Familiar with IFRS Strong process understanding of accounting and finance relevant processes SAP Knowledge Advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks. University Degree in Accounting/Finance 1-3 years of Accounting experience preferably in a multinational environment  Fluent in English (written and spoken).
