Accounting Specialist
Job Overview

Provide high-quality technical and general accounting support in alignment with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and applicable statutory reporting standards (e.g., local GAAP). Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting business unit objectives.

Essential DutiesPrepare and post journal entries in SAP and perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations using BlackLineSupport the preparation of statutory trial balances and local GAAP adjustments; collaborate with external providers on the preparation of statutory financial statementsEnsure the timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP close processes in accordance with IQVIA policies and deadlinesPerform intercompany reconciliations and prepare ad hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders and managementSupport the annual statutory audit cycle and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) return process, including interaction with external auditorsMaintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; provide support during internal auditsManage payroll-related entries, accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, and support vendor invoice and payment processes in coordination with central teamsCollaborate regularly with local finance partners, project managers, and internal tax teams to ensure alignment and accuracyIdentify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, strengthen controls, and improve operational efficiency; actively contribute to continuous improvement and standardization initiativesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of accounting experience; experience in complex general ledger accounting is an advantageHands-on experience with SAP Finance modulesStrong analytical mindset with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentFluent in English (written and spoken)Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners
