Job Overview

Provide high-level technical and general accounting services in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley rules, and the financial reporting requirements of the business unit (e.g., local GAAP).

Essential Functions

Develop and maintain standards for functional roles.Analyze, prepare, and process journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts.Maintain records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.Prepare financial statements and inter-company reconciliations.Generate ad hoc reports for internal use.Support annual external audits.Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.Obtain necessary approvals for accounting purposes.Recommend process improvements.Reconcile monthly bank accounts.Maintain receipts and disbursement reports.Interpret financial reports for managers.Perform other duties as assigned.Handle accrual and prepaid account reconciliation.Assist with month/quarter-end financial close.Post actual expenses and salaries.Execute vendor payments.Support representative offices and service companies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required.1-3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent education and experience.Knowledge of SAP Finance modules and Microsoft Office applications.Strong analytical and numeracy skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.Fluency in German is beneficial but not mandatory.
