Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Accounting Specialist responsible for managing and organizing financial documents, including scanning daily invoices and checks into DocuWare, and updating various spreadsheets. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring our financial records are up-to-date and accurate.

Responsibilities

Scan daily invoices into DocuWare, clearing a backlog spanning at least 3 months for all entities.Add freight invoice data to our inbound and/or outbound spreadsheets.Scan checks into DocuWare, prepare them for mailing, and process them through the postage meter during each payment run on Thursdays and Fridays.Update daily invoice issue spreadsheets for each plant.Contact vendors to request statements, review for missing invoices against existing records in Oracle, and follow up for any missing invoices.Pull invoices and backup documents to store in the AFE file in DocuWare.Organize month-end journal entries and backup documents, then store the files in DocuWare.Potentially, once up-to-date, learn to process invoices for smaller plants and assist in the second step of freight invoice processing.

Essential Skills

Accounting experience with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing.Basic accounting experience, specifically transactional.Basic customer service skills, including contacting vendors for statements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with accounts payable.Invoicing experience.Proficiency in using DocuWare.

Work Environment

This role is based in the office. Initially, the position is needed through the end of July. The opportunity arises due to a temporary vacancy.

This is a Contract position based out of Alliance, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
