Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Legal Billing or Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and resolving accounting and billing inquiries, updating account and billing information, and ensuring compliance with billing guidelines.

Responsibilities

Review and resolve accounting and billing inquiries from internal team members and clients.Refer inquiries and issues to escalated parties as needed.Review and update account and billing information and statuses.Research and provide follow-up to billing and account information requests.Process internal requests for updates to billing information.Review and enter new business billing intake information as needed.Set up billing matters following client guidelines.Perform various data changes such as updating addresses, contact information, groups, insurance information, and billing information.Review Billing Guidelines to ensure matters are set up appropriately with respect to rates and financial contractual agreements.

Essential Skills

Experience in accounts receivable, billing collections, invoicing, data entry, accounting, and collection.Proficiency in billing customer service and legal billing.Experience with Aderant, Chrome River, and/or BillBlast.2 years of client billing/accounting experience, preferably in the legal realm.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.Proficiency in MS Office and Excel, including Pivot Tables and V lookups.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with a 12-8:30 EST schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.
