Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, and assisting with reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and assisting with other administrative office tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and record daily financial transactions, including vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and customer payments

Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, data entry, and payment processing

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts monthly

Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, files, and documentation

Provide administrative support to the accounting department and cross-functional teams as needed

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)

Strong knowledge MS Office applications

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially

Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
