ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY 

 Prepare & submit title work for commercial vehicles for titling/registration in the state in which they will be titled.   Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to motor vehicle titles and registrations.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Check for accuracy in the title application forms and ensure all information is complete.

Prepare and submit title work using the electronic programs if available/required.

Prepare and submit title work through state DMV’s or titling agencies depending on the customer’s home state.

Investigate titling requirements for states outside of our territory to ensure proper compliance.

Stay abreast of title regulations. Attend seminars held by licensing bureaus in our territories and any available training on title regulations.

Cross train with other team members to maintain flexibility and maintain smooth handling of title work.

Maintain communications with sales teams regarding changes in titling regulations.

 QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); additional related education/ training is a plus

Valid driver’s license

 REQUIRED SKILLS 

Effective communications skills and the ability to work with others

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices

Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent penmanship.

 This position requires strict time adherence due to deadlines and the importance of the financial information. This may mean some overtime hours at different times of the month and/or year. This position due to its inherent nature demands a high level of discretion with some data being of a financial and personal nature.
