Accounting Specialist

The Financial Analyst will assist Controllership Operations and other business functions in executing a select set of routine transactions and projects with clients, suppliers, and other business partners. This role requires adherence to established policies and procedures and involves interaction with multiple levels within the organization. The individual will perform work with some supervision and is expected to contribute significantly to the team.

ResponsibilitiesSupport Controllership Operations Team on financial transactions.Execute a select set of routine transactions, including purchase order management and project closure.Engage in selected client engagements, reviewing contract commercial terms, payment terms, and project monitoring.Assist in the analysis and creation of routine reports.Track and monitor transactions under the Controllership Operations scope.Prepare journal entries for monthly financial closing, such as monthly accruals.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in finance-related discipline.1-3 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably with knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, policies, and audit.Proficiency in accounting, internal control, internal audit, and Spanish.Advanced skills in MS Office, especially MS Excel.Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving tasks.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in financial analysis and accounting.Ability to produce high-quality work under strict deadlines.Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
