Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role involves reviewing vendor invoices for proper coding, documentation, and approval to ensure accurate and timely payments. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate vendor files and information, including payment terms, tax information, and remittance details. Additionally, you will reconcile account differences and resolve issues with vendors, input and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports according to company policies, and manage accounts payable reports and files.

Responsibilities:Review vendor invoices for accurate coding and approval to ensure timely payment.Maintain accurate vendor files and information, including payment terms and tax details.Communicate with vendors to reconcile account differences and resolve discrepancies promptly.Input and process invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports into the accounting system.Monitor invoices with payment holds and work to resolve them efficiently.Manage and maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files according to established practices.Qualifications:Proficiency in accounts payable processes.Experience with eCMS accounting and invoicing systems.3-5+ years of accounts payable experience.Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and vlookups.Ability to adapt and collaborate with team members during company transitions.Work Environment:

This role supports the business operations in Maryland, with flexibility to work from Minnesota or Maryland, and possibly remotely. The AP Lead provides training and prefers local candidates to be in the office five days a week during the contract period. A hybrid schedule may be established upon transitioning to a full-time role. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on attention to detail and adaptability to company changes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
