Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee critical financial functions while contributing to the organization's overall success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain the general ledger system, including managing account numbers, cost centers, profit centers, and allocation mappings.
• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform treasury management tasks, including analysis and reporting.
• Handle the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly sales and use tax returns.
• Develop, document, and update departmental standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Support the year-end audit process by compiling schedules, work papers, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with supply chain management to develop and maintain standard costing analysis, including labor and overhead rates, material ledger, and standard costing.
• Conduct special financial projects and initiatives to drive organizational improvements.
• Assist the FP& A team in creating the annual budget and planning reports.
• Foster cross-departmental collaboration to identify optimization opportunities and promote continuous improvement. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Effective communication and organizational abilities to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing company environment.
• Experience with standard costing and budgeting processes is preferred.
