Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize the accounting operations of our organization in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves managing a diverse range of financial functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process efficiency. Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate accounting operations, including premium processing, cash receipts, claims, disbursements, and vendor management. • Monitor and refine accounting practices to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. • Mentor and guide the accounting team, fostering growth and a culture of excellence. • Oversee risk management activities and support audit processes and regulatory reviews. • Lead initiatives to enhance accounting systems and streamline processes for greater efficiency. • Manage budgets and allocate departmental resources effectively. • Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial statements. • Collaborate with stakeholders to address financial challenges and implement solutions. • Support the preparation and review of journal entries and month-end close activities. • Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and operational workflows. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent relevant experience. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage teams effectively. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • High level of integrity. • Proficiency in general ledger management, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes. • Preferably, experience in regulated financial services or insurance accounting.
