Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead and manage the financial operations of our company in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee daily accounting activities, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and guide a team toward achieving organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage the daily functions of the accounting department, ensuring smooth operations. • Oversee the monthly financial closing process, including reviewing departmental expenses and preparing accurate workpapers for reporting. • Lead, train, and inspire a team of accounting professionals to foster growth and development. • Coordinate and manage the annual financial statement audit process with external auditors. • Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights that support strategic decision-making. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other applicable financial laws. • Handle account reconciliations and ensure all ledger entries are accurate and up-to-date. • Prepare journal entries and maintain financial records with a high degree of precision. Requirements • CPA is required • Proven expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Extensive experience handling financial statement audits. • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation practices. • Proficiency in preparing and managing journal entries. • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing accounting teams. • Ability to develop and implement effective accounting procedures. • Familiarity with tax compliance and financial regulations.
