Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead and oversee financial operations within our organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting practices and a proven ability to manage complex financial processes. Responsibilities: • Lead month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded. • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in alignment with auditing requirements. • Conduct account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records. • Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial data. • Collaborate with internal teams to support audit processes and ensure compliance. • Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows and systems. • Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering growth in attention to detail. • Monitor and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making. • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory guidelines. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management. • Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and related requirements. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
