Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and reporting for our organization in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves leading a team of senior accountants, ensuring precise month-end closings, and maintaining compliance with U.S. financial standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills and leadership capabilities to support organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Supervise and mentor a team of senior accountants, fostering growth and collaboration. • Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain efficient workflows. • Ensure compliance with U.S. financial regulations and organizational policies. • Prepare and analyze financial statements, offering insights to support strategic decision-making. • Utilize accounting software systems, such as BlackLine and Concur, to streamline operations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial inquiries and challenges. • Monitor and enhance internal controls to safeguard financial integrity. • Coordinate external audits and ensure readiness for regulatory reviews. • Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems for improved financial management. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities. • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Concur, and ERP platforms. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles. • Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance with U.S. regulations. • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals. • Experience with external audits and maintaining internal controls. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments.
