Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will take charge of overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and fostering a collaborative work environment. This position offers the opportunity to manage and mentor student workers while contributing to the success of our organization. Responsibilities: • Lead month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to guarantee financial data integrity. • Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate accounting records. • Supervise and mentor student workers, encouraging growth and teamwork. • Oversee financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and support. • Monitor compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes. • Ensure timely completion of account reconciliations to support financial accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance. • Strong background in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. • Familiarity with financial statement audits and compliance requirements. • Experience in non-profit accounting is highly desirable. • Excellent organizational and leadership skills. • Ability to manage and mentor team members effectively. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
