Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. Based in Longmont, Colorado, this role involves managing a range of accounting activities, from accounts payable and receivable to financial reporting and audits. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proficient in accounting systems, and skilled at leading a team to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily operations within the accounting department, ensuring efficiency and compliance with financial protocols.
• Manage and perform key accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and general ledger activities.
• Analyze accounting data to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Oversee month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable between Netsuite and the company’s proprietary systems.
• Address and resolve accounting-related support tickets promptly and effectively.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate and complete annual financial audits, maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Accounting Manager.
• Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, policies, and practices.
• Proficiency in Netsuite or similar accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with other Office tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of financial data.
• Strong multitasking skills and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement process improvements effectively.
