Description Responsibilities:
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the success of construction projects.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and efficient processing to support seamless operations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to provide actionable insights for strategic decisions.
Conduct financial analysis to support project managers with data-driven strategies that optimize performance and profitability.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies, including expertise in California mechanics lien laws and waiver tracking.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve financial challenges and build strong partnerships.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and support sustainable growth.
Mentor and lead a talented accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—CPA or CMA certification preferred to demonstrate professional expertise.
At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in construction accounting, with a focus on precision and accuracy.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, such as job costing and percentage-of-completion methods, to manage complex projects confidently.
Advanced proficiency in CMiC software, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—for efficient operations.
Thorough understanding of California mechanics lien laws, requirements, and waiver tracking to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
Experience with prevailing wage reporting and public works contracting, enhancing your versatile skill set.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to address challenges and innovate solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Uncompromising integrity and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial matters. Requirements
