Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes in our organization. Based in Websterville, Vermont, this role involves managing all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, audits, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and leadership skills to maintain efficient workflows and support decision-making. Responsibilities: • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing. • Generate comprehensive financial statements and reports, taking full ownership of the financial close process. • Support audit preparations and collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance. • Manage cash flow forecasting and monitor the company’s financial transactions and debts. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. • Implement and oversee accounting procedures that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards. • Prepare budgets and manage payroll operations to maintain financial stability. • Optimize the use of existing accounting systems, ensuring they function effectively despite any limitations. • Present financial insights and updates to the board as the role progresses. • Plan and execute strategies to enhance overall financial performance. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial statement preparation. • Proficiency in handling audits and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. • Familiarity with accounting software systems such as Oracle or Infor Visual. • Proven ability to manage full financial close processes independently. • Excellent analytical skills for interpreting financial data and trends. • Effective communication skills to present financial findings to stakeholders and board members. • Ability to adapt and work efficiently with legacy accounting systems.
