Patricia Wesson with Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead and oversee key financial operations in our organization. This role is based in Gresham, Oregon, and requires someone with expertise in financial management, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide actionable insights for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, monitor performance, and create financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, tax regulations, and external reporting requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard financial data and organizational assets.
• Manage grant-related financial activities, including budget development, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team by setting goals, providing feedback, and fostering growth.
• Support annual audits by coordinating with auditors and addressing findings to improve financial practices.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with nonprofit sector experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools, such as ERP platforms, BlackLine, and Concur.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, grant accounting, and nonprofit financial management.
• Familiarity with payroll systems, including ADP, and experience managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide financial insights.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.
