Key Responsibilities As the Accounting Manager, you will: + Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting in compliance with company policies and procedures. + Provide support to the controller and accounting department for timely monthly accounting close tasks and special projects. + Lead all aspects of the month-end close process, including: + Financial analysis + General ledger entries and reconciliations + Fixed assets and inventory reserve reviews + Bank and cash receipts reconciliations + Serve as the go-to expert for accounting guidance, resolving issues, and supporting internal and external audits. + Collaborate with Legal, Tax, HR, Operations, and other departments to evaluate and maintain accurate financial data across teams. + Assess and implement proper controls to identify risks and mitigate them effectively. + Oversee remediation plans for Internal Audit findings and corporate policy changes. + Proactively recommend and implement process efficiencies and improvements. + Participate in key projects, such as ERP implementations and process enhancement initiatives. + Adjust work schedules as needed to meet deadlines during critical periods like month-end close. Requirements Skills & Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must have: + A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (strongly preferred). + 5+ years of management experience in accounting, with exposure to accounts journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close. + Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and principles. + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. + Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to make sound decisions quickly and efficiently. + High interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders. + Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications. + The ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.
