Description We’re partnering with one of the most impressive organizations in the region to hire a top-performing Accounting Manager for their Asheville-based finance team. This is not your typical accounting role. You’ll oversee complex fund and project-level accounting, lead a sharp team of four, and play a key role in driving process transformation and financial excellence across the organization. If you're energized by building strong teams, owning the close, and making high-impact process improvements, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. 💼 The Role: + Lead and mentor a team of four accounting professionals, building a culture of accountability and development. + Oversee fund-level and project-level accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency. + Drive a five-day close initiative by streamlining workflows and eliminating bottlenecks. + Own reconciliation for a high volume of bank accounts, including manual imports into NetSuite. + Partner with Treasury to ensure day-one cash reconciliation. + Leverage NetSuite and other systems to manage financial reporting and data integrity. + Champion process improvement across the accounting function to support growth and scale. + Deliver detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions. + Collaborate cross-functionally to align accounting practices with business objectives. 🎯 The Ideal Candidate: + Proven experience in accounting leadership, preferably in a dynamic or multi-entity environment. + Expertise in month-end close, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. + Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is strongly preferred. + A mindset for continuous improvement, with the ability to both lead and execute. + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills — you're just as comfortable in the weeds as you are in the boardroom. 📍 Location: Asheville, NC (onsite leadership is expected) 💡 Why This Role: High visibility, meaningful impact, and the opportunity to shape a next-generation accounting function. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. • Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems is highly preferred. • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIF functions. • Strong background in full-cycle accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting. • Experience in fund accounting or renewable energy is a plus but not mandatory. • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and improve system efficiencies. • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. • Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
