Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager, to join our client in Central Houston that is hiring for a Controller!! Our client is a leader in their industry and want to find a hands-on strategic Controller that can help the business continue to grow. This is a high visibility role reporting directly to the President, with no direct reports at this time. Responsibilities include day to day accounting around AP/AR, payroll, managing the GL, banking relations, preparing financials, and leading monthly close. The right candidate will have experience in full cycle accounting through financial statement preparation, and come from a small-mid size company. Controller Job Description: + Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. + Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement. + Producing and analyzing monthly P& L variance reports. + Reconciliation of bank statements, intercompany balances, and general ledger accounts. + Leading payroll processing initiatives. + Conducting business trend analysis, developing cash flow forecasts, and supporting budget preparation for monthly and annual cycles. + Identifying and driving cost-saving opportunities while monitoring ongoing cost-reduction initiatives. + Managing relationships with banking institutions, credit lines, and lease agreements. + Accounts payable and receivable processing Excellent benefits! 100% paid for employee-only plan, and 90% paid under the family plan 401k, 4% match Requirements Experience Requirements: + 5+ years of full cycle accounting through financial statement preparation + Small-to-midsize company experience – Need a Controller who can be hands on + Experience managing banking relationships + Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
