Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee all accounting activities, directly supervise team members, and partner with HR on payroll. You will play a key role in financial reporting, accounts set up, process improvements, and supporting strategic decisions using our Plex ERP system. ResponsibilitiesLead all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end and year-end close processes.Directly supervise, mentor, and develop one AP/AR employee.Assist HR & payroll service with payroll processing, reconciliations, and related reporting.Manage internal cash planning tool and provide 13-week cash flow analysis.Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support manufacturing leadership.Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and job costing within Plex ERP to ensure accurate product costs and profitability insights.Handle some tax-related tasks (e.g., preparing information for filings) while working alongside our excellent external CPA firm.Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with President, operations, production, and sales teams to deliver timely financial analysis and drive process improvements.Prepare and present clear financial statements and key metrics to senior leadership.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred).5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and with companies of comparable size (roughly 50–150 employees) is strongly preferred.Hands-on experience with Plex ERP (or similar manufacturing systems such as Epicor or SAP) is a significant plus.Familiarity with payroll processing and some tax knowledge is beneficial.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a small-team, multi-hat environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP or similar ERP systems.Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial statement preparation, and bank reconciliation.Work Environment

The position is based at an office within a manufacturing site, operating Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility on start and end times. The role oversees all accounting and AP functions, with support available for day-to-day AR activities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
