We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and streamline the monthly account reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls. The role involves preparing and reviewing account analyses, maintaining account reconciliation policies, and providing team training on these processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying system and process improvements and supporting the Accounting team on monthly close processes and strategic projects.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee the monthly account reconciliation process, including preparation, review, research, analysis, and resolution.
+ Prepare and review account analysis of activity/balances to identify discrepancies or necessary adjustments timely.
+ Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation.
+ Maintain the account reconciliation policy.
+ Provide team training on account reconciliation process and policy.
+ Identify and implement system and process improvements.
+ Support the Accounting team on monthly close processes, strategic projects, and perform ad hoc projects and analysis.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
+ Advanced knowledge of Excel, general ledger, month-end processes, reporting, balance sheet, journal entry, audit, accrual, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation.
+ Experience with dynamics 365, d365, and Blackline.
+ Strong understanding of US GAAP.
+ Experience in managing or guiding a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ CPA is a plus.
+ 2+ years of audit experience is a plus.
+ Experience writing policies and Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring compliance.
+ Experience documenting processes and maintaining internal controls.
Work Environment
This role is a newly created position and operates as an individual contributor reporting to the Technical Accounting Director. The schedule is onsite from Monday to Thursday and remote on Fridays, from 9 am to 5 pm. The role is contract-to-hire with conversion schedules in place. The team is currently based on the 4th floor, with plans to expand to the 10th floor by Spring 2026. The local team is growing rapidly, aiming to increase from 10 to 40 members within Accounting & Finance by the end of 2026.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $49.00/hr.
