Accounting Manager
Description We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the daily operation of their successful accounting department. This role involves maintaining internal controls, supporting strategic financial initiatives, preparing monthly account reconciliations, coordinating financial tax audits, monitor and analyze account data, assist with fixed assets, overseeing the month end close process, entering general ledger activities, and staying updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure ongoing financial health and growth. The ideal Accounting Manager will have solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines. What you get to work on daily · Manage and oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes. · Review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP. · Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; assign work and provide ongoing feedback. · Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls and accounting procedures. · Coordinate audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors. · Ensure timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies. · Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting, as applicable. · Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with FP& A. · Assist with system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives. · Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. Requirements The ideal Accounting Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
