Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Walnut Creek, California. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in financial operations and leadership. You will oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Responsibilities: + Lead daily accounting operations across A/R, A/P, GL, and payroll; manage and mentor two accountants. + Oversee month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely, accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting. + Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses. + Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with leadership. + Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate audits and tax filings with external partners. + Collaborate with outsourced accounting firms to ensure accuracy and seamless communication. + Improve systems, workflows, and reporting through automation and scalable, efficient processes. Requirements + Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. + 5+ years accounting experience, including 2+ year supervisory experience. + Solid knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and multi-entity accounting. + Experience in consumer packaged goods a plus. + Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel. + Passionate about sustainability, wellness, and conscious business practices. + Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. + Detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
