We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to manage and oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. You will be responsible for managing the month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling and monitoring accounting transactions, and publishing monthly financial reports. Additionally, you will establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, manage annual audits, and handle state and local tax filings.
Responsibilities
+ Manage daily operations of the accounting department.
+ Oversee the month-end and year-end close process.
+ Reconcile and monitor accounting transactions.
+ Publish monthly financial reports.
+ Establish and enforce accounting methods, policies, and principles.
+ Manage annual audits, including 401K and Workers Compensation.
+ Handle state and local tax filing, such as sales/use and property tax.
+ Develop annual standard product costs in collaboration with Engineering.
+ Analyze costs of business activities and changes in product design.
+ Prepare and analyze manufacturing cost reports.
+ Provide performance reports to manufacturing with analysis.
+ Develop annual direct labor and manufacturing overhead rates and budgets.
+ Maintain an effective work order and inventory accounting system.
+ Support the monthly closing process, including inventory reconciliations.
+ Coordinate and carry out periodic physical inventory counts.
+ Support Finance and other functional areas with accounting-related issues.
+ Conduct quarterly financial forecasts and annual budgets.
+ Complete other duties as assigned to accomplish organizational goals.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
+ Familiarity with three-way matching and cash receipts.
+ Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
+ Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
+ Knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting.
+ Understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
+ Experience in manufacturing accounting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
+ General ledger, costing, and inventory experience.
+ Intercompany consolidations and entities knowledge.
Work Environment
This position is fully on-site, with a Monday to Friday schedule. Start times are flexible, beginning at either 7:00 or 7:30 AM, and you will work 8 hours per day. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $57.00/hr.
