Accounting Manager
Job Title: Accounting Manager  Job Description The Accounting Manager will oversee key inventory accounting processes and play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting related to inventory. This position is responsible for leading inventory reconciliation, managing the Received Not Invoiced (RNI) process, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities, particularly around inventory. The role will also collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve traceability within the ERP system. Over time, this role will expand to include responsibilities in accounts payable and broader financial close functions, contributing to a more integrated and efficient accounting operation. Responsibilities + Lead the inventory reconciliation process, including regular cycle counts and resolving variances. + Manage the Received Not Invoiced (RNI) process and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. + Collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, and procurement teams to investigate and correct inventory issues. + Document and maintain inventory accounting procedures aligned with GAAP, ensuring accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods. + Play a key role in ERP system upgrades, focusing on inventory module enhancements to improve traceability, visibility, and reporting capabilities. + Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, specifically related to inventory including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. + Provide audit support by preparing schedules, answering auditor inquiries, and ensuring documentation is complete and accurate. + Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance systems and processes related to inventory tracking, costing, and reporting. + Identify and implement improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations. Essential Skills + Strong accounting skills, particularly in reconciliation and general ledger management. + Experience with financial statement preparation and reporting. + Proficiency in using NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA is ideal but not required. + Some public accounting experience is ideal but not required. + Must have a background in manufacturing. + Emphasis on a collaborative culture with no egos, fostering a positive work environment. Work Environment The position is onsite, currently located in Twinsburg, with a planned move to Hudson next year behind Joann Fabrics. The team currently consists of three staff members: one in Accounts Payable, one in Accounts Receivable, and one Treasurer. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
