As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee key functions within the accounting department and will have broad exposure to various accounting functions. You will prepare and review journal entries, month-end reconciliations, financial statement reviews and analysis, and more. THE ROLE:

Performs a wide variety of general accounting functions including journal entries, month-end closing procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.Works closely with other accounting managers to effectively complete the month-end accounting close processParticipates in monthly financial reviews – identifying variances, implementing corrective actions and reviewing financial results with key leaders within the company.Responsible for revenue recognition under ASC606, including promotional and loyalty account, gift card accounting and revenue recognition.Manages payroll and benefits related reconciliations.Meets accounting operational standards by implementing productivity, resolving problems, and identifying process improvements.Maintain effective internal controls to ensure transactions follow policy, GAAP and are properly reflected on the financial statements.Assist with the quarterly financial and SOX audits by working with internal and external auditors to fulfill requests.Assist with the preparation of supporting schedules for 10-Q and 10-K documents

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field is required6+ years relevant accounting experience required, including sound knowledge of GAAP (public accounting or public company experience preferred)Certified professional Accountant (CPA) preferredProficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) requiredIntermediate Excel experience requiredAbility to communicate complex financial information clearly and succinctlyKey characteristics: continuous improvement, excellent time management, detail oriented, analytical and problem solving
