Accounting Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee financial operations within our organization in Knoxville, Tennessee. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing accounting processes and ensuring compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all transactions are properly recorded. • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and bank statements. • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. • Handle billing procedures and monitor outstanding balances to maintain cash flow efficiency. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements. • Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies. • Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff, fostering growth and development. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance. • Strong skills in account reconciliation, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. • Experience with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing operations. • Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations with precision. • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
