The Accounting Manager role is ideal for an experienced and detail-oriented individual in financial services industry who thrives on leading teams and driving accurate financial processes. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and a proven ability to manage complex financial operations. Key Responsibilities: + Review and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. + Prepare or review monthly & quarterly general ledger account reconciliations and analysis to research variances for resolution. + Review and prepare monthly journal entries. + Coordinate GAAP Audits. + Coordinate submission of all regulatory reports and meet deadlines. + Assist with implementation of new regulatory requirements and new lines of business and acquisitions. + Work with state examiners, external auditors, and senior management, as needed. + Daily cash management as needed (backup mainly). + Contribute ideas that strengthen internal procedures and efficiencies. Requirements Key Requirements: + Bachelors in Accounting + Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in the financial services industry. + Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting teams within a corporate environment. + Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements. + Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Proficiency in preparing detailed work papers, schedules, and relevant documentation. + Experience with audit compliance processes and regulatory reporting requirements. + Prior experience working in the financial services industry is required. + Advanced Excel skills fand large ERP accounting software experience for financial reporting and analysis.
